Nationwide Coverage for All Property Types

No matter where your property is located, we have experienced surveyors who understand local property characteristics and common issues in your area.

Urban Properties

Our surveyors have extensive experience with city and town properties, from Victorian terraces to modern apartments. We understand urban property issues like subsidence in older areas, damp in basements, and shared building concerns.

Suburban Homes

We regularly survey suburban properties including semi-detached houses, detached homes, and bungalows. Our surveyors know what to look for in properties built from the 1930s through to modern builds.

Rural Properties

Rural properties often present unique challenges. Our surveyors are experienced in inspecting country cottages, farmhouses, and properties with outbuildings, septic tanks, and other rural characteristics.

Coastal Areas

Properties near the coast face specific issues like salt damage, wind exposure, and damp. Our surveyors in coastal areas understand these challenges and know what to look for when inspecting seaside properties.

Local Expertise, National Standards

When you need a house survey, working with a surveyor who knows your local area provides several advantages:

Local Market Knowledge

Our surveyors understand typical property values and characteristics in your area, helping you assess whether the property's value is appropriate.

Regional Construction Methods

Different regions have different building traditions. Local surveyors know what materials and methods were common in your area and what issues to expect.

Common Local Issues

Some problems are more common in certain areas - like subsidence in clay areas or radon in specific regions. Local knowledge helps identify these risks.

Quick Response Times

With surveyors based across the UK, we can usually arrange your house survey within a few days of your booking, keeping your buying process on track.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Coverage

Yes, we provide house survey services across England, Wales and Northern Ireland including rural and remote locations. While survey costs may be slightly higher for properties in very remote areas to account for travel time, we ensure you get the same quality of service regardless of your property's location. Our surveyors are experienced with rural properties and understand the unique challenges they present.

All our surveyors are qualified to conduct RICS Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 surveys. When you contact us, we'll assign a surveyor who covers your area and has the relevant expertise for your property type. Whether you need a basic Level 1 survey or a comprehensive Level 3 building survey, you'll work with a local qualified surveyor who understands your region.

Once your offer has been accepted by the seller and you're ready to organise your house survey, we can typically arrange the survey undertaken within 3-7 days, depending on your schedule and the surveyor's availability in your area. During busy periods in the property market, it may take slightly longer. We always aim to accommodate your timeline and work with your estate agent and mortgage lender's requirements.

Currently, we provide house survey services across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Scotland has a different property surveying system including the mandatory Home Report, so we don't currently operate there. If you're buying a property in Scotland, you'll need to arrange a Home Report through the seller, as this is a legal requirement before a property can be marketed.
